The Malaysian Government has developed its own incentives for content development specifically for film, television and other screen production.
The Malaysian Government anticipates that this incentive will encourage production works and increase skill sets that would be of international
standard for the populace throughout the ecosystem of the creative content industry.
This impetus is of crucial importance to the nation’s economic, social and intellectual development. The Malaysian Government believes that this effort would be a landmark decision that would benefit, develop and further support the industry.
This incentive will not only promote the creation of quality creative content, it will also make Malaysia a preferred destination and film production hub.
The Government introduced the Film in Malaysia Incentive (FIMI) to provide an additional financial incentive for the production of creative content within Malaysia, and to encourage support for the Malaysian content production industry.
FIMI is a 30% cash rebate on all Qualifying Malaysian Production Expenditure (QMPE) which meets the criteria further elaborated upon in these Guidelines. FIMI is available for both Malaysian and foreign production activities.
《CFAM 短片扶持计划》旨在鼓励马来西亚电影创作者探索源自本土的故事，同时具备跨文化传播力，走向国际观众。通过提供制作资助，培育具备原创性与创作潜力的创作者。
在马来西亚华人影视协会（CFAM）担任主办单位、盟威文化影业（Marvelous Culture & Film）为协办单位的推动下，本计划亦获得来自香港的银都机构有限公司作为主要赞助单位鼎力支持。与此同时，协会多家企业会员共同参与，展现出业界对本次计划的高度支持与凝聚力。其中，冰缘后期制作有限公司（Iceberg Post）为联合赞助单位；晟创娱乐（SunStrong Entertainment）与 美加电影发行有限公司（Mega Films Distribution）担任协力赞助单位；Multimedia Entertainment则为合作单位。此外，本项目亦获得马来西亚通讯部及马来西亚国家电影发展局（FINAS）的官方支持，合作媒体则包括《八度空间》电视台与《无本》电影杂志，在多方资源整合与跨区域合作的基础上，共同为本地原创短片创作打造更坚实的平台。

探讨社会的变迁与人生状态的流动。创作者可从个人经验、社会观察或时代感受出发，创作具备跨国际传播力的马来西亚故事。
资助奖金：本计划将选出 2 个入选项目。每个入选项目将获得 RM30,000 的短片制作现金资助，以及一项价值 RM20,000 的后期制作配套，以支持短片的完成。

Exploring social changes and the fluid states of life. Creators are invited to draw from personal experiences, social observations, or reflections on the era to create Malaysian stories with global resonance.
Grant & Awards:
The program will select 2 winning projects. Each selected project will receive:
RM 30,000 in cash for short film production.
A post-production package valued at RM 20,000.
